Embedding responsibility at the heart of our business

Our Social Value Strategy prioritises bridging skills gaps, empowering underserved communities, and reducing environmental impacts.

Considering social impact and sustainability in decisions

BJSS embrace the opportunity to create lasting societal and environmental impact. We’ve embedded a strategic Social Value programme within our Enterprise Governance framework, guided by Board-level steering and cross-functional collaboration to ensure responsible business practices are integrated into everything we do.

What makes us different is our regional model, enabling each office across the UK to design and deliver impact programmes tailored to local needs while supporting our strategic priorities. By working with local charities, councils, grassroots organizations, and education partners, we drive real impact in our people and clients’ local communities, including underserved regions often overlooked by the tech industry.

Strategic priorities

Our UK Social Value Strategy focuses on four strategic pillars, selected to reflect our role as a digital services company and to deliver measurable impact.

Economic empowerment and digital inclusion

Deliver digital skills training, create inclusive tech opportunities, tackle regional digital exclusion, and equip employees for the evolving skills landscape.

Environmental stewardship and sustainability

Embed sustainability, educate and upskill staff, support communities, and invest in initiatives to boost green spaces, biodiversity, and carbon reduction.

Diversity, equity, inclusion (DEI) and wellbeing

Drive DEI and wellbeing internally across all roles, break down societal employment barriers, and support local communities.

Responsible and ethical business practices

Support local SMEs, VCSEs, and entrepreneurs while fostering partnerships to improve environmental, social and governance (ESG) standards.

Social Value Strategy

Our social value strategy is focused on closing skills gaps, empowering underserved communities, and minimising environmental impact.
